AMSTERDAM GOLF 6-7-8 MARCH 2009 AT THE RAI
TEE OFF FOR THE NEW SEASON

A SPORTING DAY OUT FOR GOLF LOVING PEOPLE!

THIRD AMSTERDAM GOLF SURPRISINGLY DIFFERENT INDEED!

Participants as well as the organizer of the biggest indoor golf event in the Benelux are very satisfied with this third edition. Almost 11.000 visitors came to the RAI venue to enjoy a day out full of golf.

More than hundred exhibitors presented an interesting range of products to the enthusiast visitors who really liked to test and buy here. The trick- and fashion shows at the Arena were highly appreciated by all ages. Here and at the Master Green top coach Phil Allen gave several clinics and master classes to our top professionals like Inder van Weerelt, Joost Luiten and Taco Remkes.

Activities and competitions popular
Phil Allen has given a lot of pleasure to many golfers with his personal swing analysis. The interest for the driving ranges was booming this time and not only for testing: in between the nets club fitting and training methods got a lot of attention next to clinics for visitors.

Youth and golf was a good combination this time, the youngest had a lot of fun at the mega Kids Course, facilitated by the Fun Factory of the Dutch Golf Association. Saturdays over forty young top players competed on the simulator for the longest and neary rankings, the winners received their prizes from their hero Taco Remkes, who won the Amsterdam Golf Award as most popular golfer in 2008. His fellow nominees were Christel Boeljon and Reinier Saxton.

Another victory was for Didier de Vooght and Jerome Theunis, this Belgian team triumphed at last after several enervating competitions on the simulator against the Dutch couple Wil Besseling and Inder van Weerelt. The ABN AMRO simulators were constantly busy: throughout the weekend exiting Neary and Parent&Child competitions gave a lot of playing pleasure to golfers of all ages and levels.

From young to elder, from starter to professional, many played for the 27 meters long putt, the Hole-in-One and the Longest Drive and some won nice golf prizes. In any case they supported with their contribution the organization for disabled golfers (NGG): a thank you all from this place!

Good atmosphere, satisfied, so long!
During and in the end of an active pastime the terraces seemed to be popular places to rest and enjoy the full gift bags with nice bargains and lots of information. From the positive feedback from visitors, exhibitors and professionals we learned again that Amsterdam Golf turns to be a good tradition at the start of a new golfing season. And especially for those golfers who never appeared: Do not miss it in 2010!
