LOOKING BACK TO AMSTERDAM GOLF 2008...

2008/03/17 - On March 14, 15 and 16 the second edition of Amsterdam Golf took place, the largest indoor golf event ever held in the Netherlands at the more than 12.000 m² of the Park hall at the Amsterdam RAI exhibition centre.

Almost 12.500 visitors had a great day full of golfing pleasure, under age 16 admission was free. From youngsters to elder, from starters to professionals, actually everyone around admitted that the event in this form again was a great success. The tribunes at the Joost Hage trickshows were loaded all the time, but also exhibitors, fashion shows, golf simulators, driving ranges, demonstrations, the Golfplaza shop, Fashion Village and the golf outlet were visited by many golf loving people.

From the opening ceremony on Friday by minister of state Jet Bussemaker together with former tour player Nienke Nijenhuis until playing pro Joost Luiten received the Amsterdam Golf Award, everybody enjoyed this golf party. The Dutch Golf Association entertained over 500 children with their Fun Factory on the Kids Course. Many visitors went home with fantastic prizes, which they won from special exhibitors actions or by playing on the simulators for charity.

Organizer Holland Golf Events together with almost a 150 participants look back at a satisfying event, and are already busy for the 2009 release to come: for golf as fastest growing sport in the Netherlands it becomes a new tradition at the start of the golfing season: Amsterdam Golf!
